OUR MISSION

Founded in 1901, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is the first and largest pediatric hospital in Southern California. The hospital is one of only eleven children’s hospitals in the nation – and the only one on the West Coast – ranked in all 10 pediatric specialties by U.S. News & World Report.  The Saban Research Institute at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is among the largest and most productive pediatric research facilities in the United States with 88 investigators at work on 171 laboratory studies, clinical trials and community-based research and health services.  Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is a premier teaching hospital and has been afffiliated with the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California since 1932.

  • 15,459 pediatric surgeries performed – more complex procedures than any other hospital in Southern California.

Since its beginning, Peninsula Committee Children’s Hospital has donated over $10,000,000 to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
