Normally at this time we would be collecting registrations and organizing foursomes.
But, these are not normal times. As clearly outlined in the “Safer At Home” order issued on March 19th, we all need to help in limiting the spread of the Coronavirus. Given these constraints, we are cancelling the Seahorse Classic, scheduled for Monday, April 20, 2020.
While we look forward to this great annual event and celebrate the funds it raises for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, the safety of our community and each of you is our top priority.
As noted below, we have reserved our date for 2021 (April 19), but unfortunately, due to the complicated tax laws governing charities, we are unable to transfer your donation forward into 2021.
Needless to say, losing the normal amount that is raised through our annual golf tournament causes deep concerns for all of us in our support of the patients at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, who are the true beneficiaries of your generosity.
If you have already sent a donation/registration,we would be happy to send a refund or perhaps you would consider allowing us to re-categorize your registration/sponsorship as a complete (or a partial) donation, thus enabling you to get the full tax deduction for the donation amount (with no fair market value deducted per the usual tax requirements).
Or, if you have not yet contributed, perhaps you might consider doing so now.
